Fear Of A Jobless Planet
Despite fears of outsourcing for many years since the tech bubble crashed, it seems the economists are right again. The economy is clearly bouncing back for the tech sector.
Whenever I'm curious about the job market, I search craigslist and compare the figures in the Bay Area, and NYC for search keywords like Oracle, Open Source, Linux and Java.
Bay Area
Oracle:682
Open Source: 243
Linux: 898
Java: 1031
New York City
Oracle: 185
Open Source: 81
Linux: 257
Java: 373
Seems like a pretty healthy market to me!
